Her passion for pelvic health began while working at a skilled nursing facility (SNF), where she saw how pelvic health issues like incontinence and difficulty with toileting significantly impacted patients’ independence and quality of life. She realized there was a huge need for education and support around these issues, and this motivated her to focus on helping people regain their independence and confidence in managing daily activities.

Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Patricia spent three years as a Special Education Teacher in Fullerton, CA. Working with children in grades TK-4 gave her valuable experience in adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs, which directly informs her approach to patient care today. Her background in teaching allows her to connect with patients in a way that builds trust and makes learning new skills or strategies feel accessible. She’s skilled at breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps and ensuring that each client feels supported and empowered throughout their journey.

Throughout her fieldwork, including experiences at Kline Galland and Northwest Center Kids | Early Supports, Patricia continued to see how pelvic health affects people across the lifespan. Whether working with older adults in nursing care or supporting families with young children, she recognized the importance of understanding and addressing pelvic health to help individuals function better in everyday life. This led her to further her expertise through training with the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, where she learned effective strategies to support individuals in managing pelvic floor dysfunction.

Patricia is passionate about helping clients solve everyday challenges like toileting, positioning, and mobility, while also improving their overall well-being. Her approach is centered on listening to each person’s unique needs, collaborating with clients on practical solutions, and empowering clients to live the life they want with greater independence.

Patricia is dedicated to supporting individuals in improving their quality of life and getting back to the activities they love, with a focus on client autonomy and overall wellness.

Outside of work, Patricia enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her partner. She’s also figuring out her sewing machine and enjoys taking on crafting projects.
